The Borealis Lives! Stern Buoyancy Restored – 4/15/2025

It’s Time… The Borealis Rises Again

So—it’s been a while. Sorry for the radio silence—life's been throwing curveballs left and right. But good news: I’m back, and I’m more confident than ever that we can finally push through with the Borealis!

Now, here’s the awesome part: remember that issue we had back in January where the stern just didn’t want to float like a proper ship? I hopped back on recently, originally planning to rip everything out and replace every block... but then, miracle alert—the Lord has smiled upon this vessel. The stern floats. SHE FLOATS.

With buoyancy behaving itself, we’re now moving on to propulsion! I’ve pulled out the aircraft hangar workbench and started prototyping a modular engine system. She’s a big girl—really big—so she’s gonna need some absolute unit-tier engines. The goal? Produce an ungodly amount of torque. Like, “rip-the-ocean-a-new-one” levels of torque. Otherwise, we’re looking at a cruise speed slightly faster than continental drift.

More updates soon. Borealis lives. 👊
